Bennie Hargrove Gun Safety Act

Welcome to the Official website of State Representative Pamelya Herndon of New Mexico House District 28, located in the northeast heights of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This website is Pamelya’s primary place for communicating with constituents of District 28 about legislation she is working on, capital funding for infrastructure projects, and other issues of importance to District 28.

Rep. Herndon’s most recent legislative accomplishment was passing the Bennie Hargrove Gun Safety Act, a.k.a., House Bill 9, during the 2023 legislative session. From the start, Rep. Herndon has said that passing the Bennie Hargrove Gun Safety Act into law also requires a statewide education effort to help adults understand their legal responsibilities when storing firearms around children.
